OBJECTIVE

One of the main objectives of NIEPA is to undertake, aid, promote and coordinate research in various aspects of educa­tional planning and administration including comparative studies in planning techniques and administrative procedures in different states of India and in other countries of the World. In pursuance of the above objective, NIEPA proposes to assist other organizations, universities and institutions and experts in undertaking educational research. The emphasis of such studies should be on problems which have direct bearing on policy, planning and management of educational system.

The procedure details for assistance under the said scheme are as under:

ELIGIBILITY

The following categories of Institutions/Universities/Organizations and individuals will he eligible to receive financial assistance under the scheme:

1. Universities including deemed universities and institutions of National importance and their departments;

2. Institutions of higher learning;

3. Institutes of management;

4. Post-graduate academic and professional/research institutions of repute andTeachers Training Institutions affiliated to universities or otherwise set up and recognized by the Central or State Governments;

5. State Council of Educational Research and Training and State Institutes of Education, SIEMATs;

6. State Boards of Secondary Education/Technical Education, Central Board of Secondary Education;

7. Association of Indian Universities, Council of Boards of Secondary Education and similar organizations;
